Project Engineer (Robotics & Automation)

Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen as Robotics & Automation Project Engineer with Enge Plas Automation, an established market-leading provider and system integrator of automations solutions for numerous manufacturing sectors.

The Robotics & Automation Project Engineer will be expected to ensure the successful design, development and deployments of solutions that we build from the renowned industry-leading brands that we exclusively represent.

Our business involves both mechanical and electrical activities. Candidates who have only prior experience with either but possess a keen aptitude towards the other, are also welcome.

Job Description/ Responsibilities :

• Analyze customer specifications and project requirements to define automation system scope and propose technical solutions.
• Design automation systems, including machine layouts, control schematics, and system architecture using 2D and 3D CAD tools.
• Develop, program, and implement robotic applications and automation control logic.
• Configure, test, debug, and troubleshoot PLCs, robotic systems, sensors, and related automation equipment.
• Provide technical solutions to customers and resolve engineering issues during project execution.
• Prepare technical proposals, system concepts, and supporting documentation for sales submissions.
• Execute system installation, integration, testing, calibration, and commissioning at customer sites.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, including operation manuals, maintenance manuals, and project records.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

 Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Robotics/Mechatronics/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, IT or equivalent
• Knowledge in programming languages and scripting
• Experience in, or good understanding of, Industry 4.0 technologies, robotics, automations will be an added advantage
• Knowledge and/or experience in PLC programming, IOT communication protocols (MQTT, Modbus TCP, OPC UA etc), CAD Design, 3D modelling will be an added advantage
• Ability to work independently and systematically with minimal supervision but also as a team player
• Self-motivated, willing to learn, highly committed and result-oriented
• Possesses own transport
• Willingness to travel within Malaysia and occasionally within Southeast Asia and worldwide
