Fox Valve

Fox Valve specializes in manufacturing a diverse array of engineered products, centered around one core technology: venturies, which are marketed under the brand Fox Venturi Products. These products encompass off-the-shelf solids-conveying, liquid, and gas jet eductors, as well as highly specialized flow controls tailored for spacecraft, energy research, and advanced product development ventures. Whether it's a single unit or a production run of thousands per year, Fox Valve has the capability to meet varying quantity requirements. Their product line is organized into six major categories, as detailed on their website. With a commitment to quality and efficiency, all Fox products are engineered and manufactured in the USA. Furthermore, venturies under a five-inch line size are produced in-house at their facility in New Jersey, ensuring Fox maintains direct oversight of both quality control and delivery timelines.

Main Products

Fox Solids Conveying Eductors

Fox Venturi Products (Fox Valve) has been the leading global supplier of venturi eductors and venturi transport systems for dilute phase pneumatic conveying of powders, pellets, and bulk solids since 1963. Fox Eductors, also referred to as jet pumps, enable the use of low pressure air (below 14 psig or 1 bar) to be used to move powders, pellets, and bulk solids with no moving parts. These venturi eductor systems can be used to convey product at up to 15 tons per hour over distances up to 500 feet.

Fox Air and Gas Jet Ejectors for Pumping Gas or Creating Vacuum

Suck away, vent, or remove gas using Fox air-operated vacuum jet ejectors driven with compressed air, N2, or any gas. Vapors to be removed can be hot, explosive, dusty, or corrosive. Fox stock ejectors vent gasses with no moving parts for 24/7 reliability. Stock ejectors in 316SS and PVC, 1/2″ to 4″ can ship in 1-2 weeks.

Fox Liquid Eductors

Fox Liquid Eductors are venturi jet pumps that use liquid to create vacuum to mix, blend, or dilute other liquids, dry solids, or gasses into a liquid stream. They are used to replace or eliminate pumps when simple, ultra-reliable liquid mixing is required.

Industry Applications

CEMENT INDUSTRY

Fox eductors are used at Cement Plants in four major categories:

  1. Handling CKD, Cement, Limestone, etc Beneath Dust Collectors
  2. Injecting Waste and/or Alternative Fuels into Kilns
  3. Sorbent Injection & Hg Capture/Pollution Control
  4. Conveying Kiln Spill at up to 1500°F

With no moving parts, Fox Eductors are a forty year old solution to conveying abrasives like CKD, dust, and abrasive alternative fuels. Unlike the airlock they do not “blow-back” or create leakage. With no seals or bearings to wear or fail, Fox eductors can operate essentially maintenance-free for years. Fox Eductors have been used to eliminate screw conveyors and airlocks conveying dust at cement plants for decades. They can be located directly under dust collectors, and eliminate the leakage, fugitive dust, and general mess associated with airlocks and screws.

FOOD INDUSTRY

Fox Venturi Eductors have been in use at some of the largest pet food plants in the world, conveying kibble, kitty litter, and various pet food products with no moving parts, no dust, and no maintenance. One of the most common applications is use in packing rooms, where a Fox blower and eductor system is installed right in the packing area. Product from damaged bags is dumped in a hopper, and using air at 2 – 3 psig from a small blower, product is conveyed back to the packing tower with minimal or no degradation. Widely used for 40 years in human food plants, Fox eductors, either fully sanitary or industrial grade, can be used to convey ingredients from screw feeders, bulk bags, or bag dump stations. Unlike rotary airlocks, there are no seals, shafts, or rotors—no dust and no maintenance.

PLASTICS INDUSTRY

Fox Eductors have been used since 1963 to convey plastic pellets with no moving parts. They are primarily used to:
  • Eliminate angelhair, streamers, and pellet degradation/damage caused by airlocks and unnecessarily high transport velocity.
  • Enable quick-clean-outs when cross-contamination is a critical concern.
  • Convey abrasive, glass-filled pellets without wear.
  • Convey plastic regrind or chips reliably and without maintenance.

Because Fox has been providing eductors to compounders for almost forty years, we have developed a line of eductors specifically designed for compounders. These offer easy-to-clean internals, product inlet ports custom-built to mate perfectly to your existing equipment, and the option of ceramic-liners if handling abrasive or filled pellets.

Components and Functionalities

Fox Ejectors for Methane Capture

Global environmental organizations have identified methane – the primary constituent of natural gas – as a major contributor to global warming. Oil & gas wells, gas processing plants, and onshore and offshore drilling platforms and sites have been identified as possible sources of methane release via leaks and fugitive emissions. Fox venturi ejectors have been used since the 1980’s to capture released gas and return to process or a flare header or another destination.

Fox Mini-Eductors

Fox Mini-Eductors are small venturi eductors that use pressurized gases or liquids to generate suction for a variety of sampling, pumping, mixing, or vacuum-generation applications. Fox stocks a broad range of off-the-shelf mini-eductors in 316 Stainless, Teflon, CPVC, Monel, Hastelloy, and Brass that can ship in just a few days.

In-Stock Venturi Eductors

Fox keeps a sizable stock of eductors and ejectors that may frequently be shipped within 1-2 business days. It helps to have a lot of inventory, educators, and ejectors.
